In a nutshell, ladies and gentlmen - Kataang =/= pedo. Kataangers =/= pedo. Bryke =/= pedo. Katara liking Aang =/= pedo.

People who say "Kataang is pedo" = Ignorant and/or Insulting and/or Stupid and/or Wrong.

My current stand on Avatar ships is as follows: I am a die-hard fan of Mike & Bryan (and I don't mean slash). Whatever they say about their SO-AWESOME show is yes - like ze will of God.

Basically, I respect fanon which respects ze canon (& Bryke), and I tend to ignore fanon which ignores ze canon (unless it's a homage or a parody or just not being serious). Crack-shipping is f.i.n.e. btw. Bryke & the Avastaff crackshipped a lot. They gave us Appa/Momo.

BUT there is an exception to this rule.

Yup, Zutara. Considering that I used to write mature-rating Zutara fics, it took a LOT to make the ship squicky/utterly unfunny to me. As far as I'm concerned, die-hard Zutarians made their own ship unpalatable to me, not Bryke. And I am certain that it was die-hard Zutarians (not the ship itself) that made Bryke negate it at least 3 times.

Their -precious- ship is like permanently connected with WANK in my brain. Aang-bashing, Bryke-bashing, Mai-bashing and more! Song, Jin, the way Toph (right after her debut ep) was just thrown at Aang so that Zutara could happen 123 in their fanworks. My God.

Yes, consider me Zutara-scarred. 'Til this day, IT mostly reminds me of the massive amounts of HATE I personally witnessed from the Zutarian section of the fandom. Considering that Taang (Aang/Toph) is/was widely considered Zutara's side-a-long ship, I -sigh- with relief that I still like Taang.

But not Zutara - I can't even read my old Zutara fics without feeling sick in the stomach.

Is a writer, not an artist. I just keep this DA account to comment on AtLA fanarts that I like and then some. Chances of me ever uploading a drawing to DA is practically nonexistent.

I know that stories can be posted here but I don't think DA's system is as suitable for stories as it is for artwork otherwise ffnet would had gone out of business a long time ago.

(was divided between calling self a Sci-Fi writer or a Wannabe Novelist) Decided that my original non-novel-length stories deserve some credit.
